How often do we really appreciate God’s overwhelming generosity to every one of us? God gave us all that we have and all that we are; our wealth and possessions, our family and friends, our health, the earth we live on, the air we breathe; even his Son Jesus.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (See: John 3:16.)
We are all rich in the gift and grace of Christ, 'for you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
Giving is an important part of Christianity, and leaving a gift to the church is a way to thank God for all the blessings you have received in your life.
"I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." (See: Acts 20:35.)
with much love,
